Week in Review 30/8-5/8/09

Exams. Hellfire. Brimstone. Lovely week.

Literature came and took my soul for abandoning it since June. History made me history, and English was like hitting myself with a mallet. Which was unfortunate, as I generally take a dislike to pain.

Wrestling this week was fine, possibly because I only watch SmackDown! (the only watchable wrestling show by the way, though I hear Bourne and Masters had a great Superstars match.) Morrison won the Intercontinental Championship and was awarded Longest Running SmackDown! Match in History. Great show between him and defending champ Mysterio, proving that you don't have to be 300 pounds and be able to throw powerslams to entertain. Undertaker returned after four months of absence since Wrestlemania, and decided to announce his comeback by chokeslamming World Champion CM Punk through the announcer's table. Doesn't take a mark to see him winning the belt at Breaking Point; no way WWE would have him tap! And even if they did, d'you think he'd have agreed to it?

Punk rejoices at his ending title reign.

Saw District 9, the newest offering from Peter Jackson, and it was incredible! This really is something you must see it for yourselves! It's that good! I know my word isn't worth much, but if you like a seamless blend of story and action like last year's The Dark Knight, you'll love District 9. More information here.

This may, or may not have come from the movie.

Listened to another Joi Chua great. Indulge your ears here.

Bountiful week too, as far as food was concerned. Everyone was cooking offerings to the dead, and there was so much food everywhere anyone'd have thought it was the Hungry Living Month if they didn't know any better. Not complaining though; I can never tire of eating steamed chicken. Yum yum!

Gotta go prep for Moral now. Miss Loh is keeping an eye on me not to fail. Would hate to disappoint her. Especially how it might bring about my untimely yet sadly unmourned demise. Good luck, y'all.
